I am a web developer with nearly 3 years experience available for hire in the Rochester, NY area. I am a quick study on new technologies with a wide variety of development experiences that make me a great addition to any team.
I have experience with architecture design and decisions around site implementations, as well as research and evaluation of new tools and methodologies for use by internal teams. I have drafted user documentation on systems I’ve contributed to (Event Management), and been responsible for their administration. In addition, I’ve provided technical support for a number of systems I’ve been involved in the development of.
With respect to technologies and methodologies, I am familiar with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP), Perl, Python, Django, Java, Flash, Unit Testing, Git, Trac, Eclipse, and Agile Development.
I’ve had the opportunity to enhance existing systems and tools, by updating existing web sites and improving them with validated XHTML and CSS, writing new scripts and web applications, and developing social networking presences in a number of contexts, including work at RIT for Alumni Relations and their ITS department.
I am a results-oriented person, and I am proud of the feedback I’ve received on my performance – including commendations for taking initiative and making or recommending changes that increased productivity and prevented the need for additional expenses.
